Panto star announced for Peter Pan 2010!

The Wyvern Theatre is delighted to confirm that one of the nation’s favourite actors, Paul Nicholas, will star as Captain Hook in this years pantomime in Swindon, Peter Pan.

Paul is best known for his role  as Vince in the BAFTA award winning BBC television series, Just Good Friends, more recently as surgeon Mr Woods in ITV’s The Royal Today  and for LWT’s major drama Bust for which he was nominated for Best Actor.

Paul has enjoyed an enormously successful career on stage since he starred in the original London production of Hair in 1969.  This was followed by the lead role in Jesus Christ Superstar, becoming the first British actor to play Danny in Grease and a starring role in the original cast of Cats.  He starred in the national tours of Barnum, Singin’ In The Rain, Doctor Dolittle, 42nd Street and Fiddler On The Roof.  He is currently touring as The Pirate King in The Pirates Of Penzance.

Behind the scenes, Paul has an extraordinary track record as a producer and director.  His productions include two of London’s biggest hit musicals of recent years – Grease and Saturday Night Fever.
